What is Take 3 for the Sea and why has Pearls of Australia partnered with them?

Take 3 for the Sea is an award-winning Australian non-profit organisation whose mission is to reduce plastic pollution on our coastlines by encouraging people to Take 3 pieces of rubbish when you leave the beach, waterway, or anywhere.

Pearls of Australia has partnered with them because we deeply value ocean conservation, and this collaboration aligns our pearling heritage with positive environmental impact.

Through this collection, 20% of proceeds go directly to supporting Take 3's marine-conservation programs.

What materials are used in the Take 3 collection, and how do they reflect the environmental mission?

The Take 3 collection features our Pinctada maxima, or Mother of Pearl shell, sustainably harvested from our Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm. This is set alongside gemstones like aquamarine, lapis lazuli and turquoise - all selected for their tones synonymous to the sea.

The Mother of Pearl charm is delicately engraved with a turtle, a symbol closely tied to Take 3's mission and the interconnection of land and sea.

These materials not only highlight the natural beauty, but also serve as a meaningful reminder of the marine ecosystems we are committed to protecting.

How does buying a piece from the Take 3 for the Sea collection make a difference?

When you purchase from this collection, 20% of the proceeds are donated directly to Take 3 for the Sea, helping to fund their programs such as beach cleanups and education initiatives.

Your support contributes to Take 3's efforts to remove pollution and raise awareness, helping protect our coastlines and marine life, especially vulnerable species like sea turtles.

In this way, wearing these bracelets is not just a style statement, it's a way of showing your commitment to our seas.
