Why Choose Your Own Loose Pearl?
No two pearls are alike. Each one carries its own colour, lustre, shape and character, shaped over years by the pristine waters of the Kimberley Coast and the Hawkesbury River. Choosing your own loose pearl means choosing the one that speaks to you, then building a piece of jewellery around it that's genuinely one-of-a-kind.
What’s the Difference Between Loose Australian South Sea vs Akoya Pearls?
- Medium–large, 10–15mm.
- White or cream.
- Grown at our Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm from the Pinctada maxima oyster, the largest pearl-producing oyster in the world.
Australian Akoya Pearls - Small–medium, 7–8mm.
- White, pink, silver or blue.
- Grown at our Broken Bay Pearl Farm from the Pinctada fucata oyster.
