Until recently, the powerful contribution that seagrass makes to the preservation of a pristine marine environment has mostly gone unnoticed. Seagrass meadows form part of 'blue forests' (alongside mangroves and saltwater marshes) which are vital for coastal communities and significant for our global climate being amongst the most efficient carbon sinks in the ocean. 

We proudly shine a light on this humble carbon sequester which lives and grows side by side with our pearl oysters in the pristine marine pearl farm environments. 

Our Seagrass pearl jewellery range has been designed to capture the fluid movement of seabeds amongst the ever-changing tides to create the exquisite pearl which is embedded in it.  

We are in awe of, and have deep respect for our impressive, fragile ecosystem and aim to honour its intricacy through this collection. The Seagrass Collection draws inspiration from underwater meadows that act as carbon sink and save havens for marine life. By showcasing jewellery inspired by the humble seagrass, we highlight the connection between pearl farming, ocean health, biodiversity and marine conservation.

The Seagrass collection is crafted using premium precious metals and Australian-grown pearls, with each design inspired by the gentle movement of seagrass meadows at our Broken Bay Pearl Farm.

Pieces are typically crafted in 18ct gold and 9ct gold, metals chosen for their durability and timeless appeal. They provide a refined framework that allows the natural beauty of our Akoya pearls to remain the focal point. The design features Seagrass motifs representing organic lines swaying with the ocean currents. The Australian Akoya pearls are carefully set on each piece.
