What makes Keshi pearls unique?

Keshi pearls are known for their lustre and uncommon formation. They are technically a by-product of the culturing process, as they are formed through rare circumstances during pearl cultivation. The variation of Keshi are highly desirable to jewellers due to their unique shapes.

What colours do Keshi pearls come in?

Our Keshi are grown at our Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm by our Pinctada maxima or South Sea pearl shells. Like our South Sea Pearls, they are commonly white to cream in colour.

How to care for Keshi pearl jewellery?

Keshi pearls are celebrated for their organic shapes and stunning lustre. Here are our tips for Keshi pearl jewellery:

1. Last On, First Off

Always put your keshi pearl jewellery on last, after perfumes, hairspray, and makeup, and remote it first at the end of the day.

2. Avoid Harsh Chemicals

Keshi pearls are sensitive to harsh chemicals. We recommend avoiding contact with perfumes, cleaning agents, chlorine, and other substances, as these can damage the pearl.

3. Clean Gentry After Wear

After each wear, gently wipe your pearls with a soft cloth to remove any residue or oils. Never submerge pearls or use an ultrasonic cleaner.

4. Store With Care

Store keshi pearl jewellery separately from other pieces to prevent scratching. A soft pouch or lined jewellery box is ideal. Avoid airtight containers, and take your pearls out of its original jewellery box.

5. Restring When Needed

If you own a keshi pearl strand, have it professionally restrung periodically. This prevents breakage and keeps each pearl secure. With thoughtful care, your keshi pearl jewellery will continue to reflect its natural lustre and unique character.
