Cygnet Bay is located 200kms north of Broome. It’s about a 2½ hour drive from Broome.
If you are staying with us, you will need a 4WD to access the Diver’s Creek accommodation side of the property. If you are coming up for a day trip, you can come with a 2WD/AWD.

Bilingurr Transit offer transfers up to Cygnet Bay on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Unfortunately, we don’t offer transfers to and from reception to your accommodation. It is about a 1km walk between reception and Diver’s Creek accommodation.

Skippers, Stone House and Divers Quarters Pearlers Shacks and Master Pearlers Private Retreat have air-conditioning in the bedrooms.
Yes, we provide linen and towels for all accommodation except campsites and van sites. Pool towels are available for hire from reception.
Our Pearlers Shacks are self contained. Guests staying in our Safari and Bush Tents will have access to the closely situated camp kitchen for all cooking requirements. Safari Tents & Pearlers Shacks have private bathrooms.
Yes we do, you will find kid’s meals on both our lunch and dinner menus.
We do not advise swimming at the beach at Cygnet Bay as we are working pearl farm and there can be dangers in the water. Guests staying in our accommodation have access to a private beach further away from the main pearl farm, and we advise all guests will need to be cautious of salt-water crocodiles and other sea creatures that can be found in our waters such as sharks and jellyfish.
You will need to be cautious of salt-water crocodiles in the waters of Cygnet Bay. Although rarely seen they are found seasonally and we advise to always be croc safe.
Yes we do! During the Dry season we are open for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner (bookings essential for dinner) 7 days a week. Find out more about our restaurant here.
Guests staying in accommodation are welcome to bring their own drinks to accommodation. We have a fully licenced restaurant for day visitors and people dining at the restaurant.
Yes! The best place to view the staircase to the moon at Cygnet Bay is at our lookout! Ask our friendly staff to point you in the right direction. We run a special event on some staircase to the moon nights called Lunar Bar. Find out more about this event here.
We welcome on leash pets for day visits in our picnic areas at Cygnet Bay, however we do not allow pets in our camping and accommodation. Please ask our staff for more direction to pet friendly areas. You will need to provide your own pet waste bags.
Most Indigenous communities on the Dampier Peninsula are closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Please contact communities directly via phone to find out where you can go.
Insects and wildlife are abundant in the Kimberley, so guests should always be aware of frogs, snakes, lizards, mosquitoes and sandflies. We recommend guests bring insect repellent to guard from insect bites, mosquitoes are usually more active in the wet season.
Check-in is from 2pm and Check-out is by 10am. We cannot guarantee any early check-in requests, however guests arriving early are free to use the pool, restaurant and join a tour. Guests should check at reception on arrival and may be checked in early if their room/site is ready for check-in.
Some Pearl Farm Discovery Tours can be booked on arrival, but we recommend booking in advance to secure your favoured tour and time slot. Our Sea Safari’s are tidal dependant and should be booked in advance as spaces are limited. Book your tours here.
This is available for in-house guests only. No outside boat launching or retrieval. If you require boat launch or retrieval services, you will need to pre-book this as it is tidal and personnel dependent. The fee for launch or retrieval is $50 each way. We do not offer car or boat trailer storage so guests will need to park on their paid accommodation sites. Check-out policy is relevant to all guests and vehicles cannot be left on accommodation sites after checkout.
Yes. Cygnet Bay does ask that any incoming boats contact the marine crew ahead of time at firstname.lastname@example.org so they can instruct the best place to drop anchor and how to navigate through the pearl farm long lines.
